ONDO 2024: GOVERNOR’S AIDE, FALANA MOBILISES ESE-ODO LG WOMEN FOR AIYEDATIWA

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Gender Matters, Chief Mrs. Olamide Falana has embarked on mobilisation of women in Ese-Odo Local Government area in support of Mr. Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in his quest to win the ticket of his party, All Progressive Congress (APC) as well as winning the November governorship election later in the year.

Addressing the women groups in Igbekebo the council headquarters, the Convener, O’datiwa Women Wing, Chief Mrs. Olamide Falana said she was elated with the turnout of women from their various wards in the Local Government area.

She emphasized that the meeting was highly important and strategic being an APC meeting as well as a rallying point to drum support for Mr. Governor.

In her words, “certainly my re-appointment by the Governor, His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa was by the grace of God and doubles as a pride to the Local Government Area as the Special Adviser on Gender Matters, having served with the immediate past Governor in same capacity”.

According to her, it is women o’clock and despite the fact that tough times are here, she urged the women to exercise patience saying that in due course, things would get better.

She spoke further that Mr. Governor has the attention of women at heart and thereafter implored the women to believe in him and go all out to invest their votes on him at the forth coming election.

She added that the season of politicking is here and it behoves all Ondo State citizens to choose the best candidate that would aid in harnessing the State’s resources to achieving its full potentials.

The Special Adviser called on the women groups from all the wards in Ese-Odo Local Government Area to inform their members on the urgent need to commence grassroot mobilization, bearing in mind that the primary election is slated for April, 2024.

She encouraged the women to say ‘NO’ to vacancy in Alagbaka, Akure and mobilize massively for Mr. Governor.

According to the Special Adviser, Mr. Governor understands the peculiarity of the terrain, challenges of the area and will deliver effectively on his mandate.

In her remarks, the women group leader in Ese-Odo Local Government, Mrs. Elizabeth Duoye charged the women to canvass and mobilize their fellow women for Mr. Governor for his return to Alagbaka Government House in the forth coming election later in the year.

In her submission, a former Chairperson, Ese-Odo Local Government, Chief Mrs. Feku Perela said that women should stand firm, strong and unintimidated to massively support Mr. Governor being the right candidate for the Governorship seat.

The Special Adviser and her team also visited the palace of the Odogun of Igbekebo in Ese Odo Local Government Area, Oba Simeon Bamidele Dabo to appreciate him for granting permission to host the women group meeting.

In his remarks, Oba Bamidele Dabo affirmed his unflinching support to Mr. Governor and promised to do the needful to ensure that Mr. Governor has a good outing in the forth coming election as Aiyedatiwa project is not only for women, but all and sundry.
