In Line With the REDEEMED AGENDA

  • Ondo State currently has the legal framework for combating gender-based violence through the assent of Mr. Governor to the Ondo State Violence Against Persons Prohibition Law 2021
  • The institutional framework is equally in place with ongoing set up of the Ondo State Agency Against Gender-Based Violence (OSAA-GBV) backed with budgetary allocations
  • Ondo state has a fully functional ministry of women’s affairs and social development that caters for the needs of the most vulnerable such as orphans, vulnerable children, children in conflict, poor and vulnerable aged persons.
  • The Agency for the Welfare of people with Disabilities is equally fully functional and funded by a constituted board for the care, and advancement of people with disabilities. Also, 32 PWD gainfully employed in civil service recently
We see Ondo State leading in attainment of sustainable development goal 5 which is gender equality, such is the vision and purpose of gender office
Incorporating gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) into governance increases the likelihood that programs are more impactful, individuals attain their maximum potential and the social goal of government is achieved.
